Chickenpox (or Shingles) recovery Fit to Fly certificate

£35.00

Same-day medical fit-to-fly certificate, required by your airline to prove scabbed-over chickenpox is no longer infectious. This is true of Shingles caused by the same virus that gives you Chickenpox, but reactivated when you are older.

If you or your child has recently recovered from chickenpox (or shingles) and the spots have fully scabbed over, your airline will require a fit-to-fly certificate to confirm you are no longer contagious. By uploading a video of your current condition, our doctors can provide a same-day certificate confirming your fitness to fly. No appointment is necessary – just apply online

What do I need to provide?

To assess your condition and issue a medical certificate, please supply the following:

  • A photo of your passport

  • The date your chickenpox spots (or shingles spots) first appeared, and confirmation that you have fully recovered

  • A 30-second to 1-minute video showing that your chickenpox spots have scabbed over

  • A picture confirming crusted or ongoing blistering chickenpox (or shingles)

  • Details of your airline and flight

What if I haven’t fully recovered from chickenpox (or shingles)?

If our doctors determine that the chickenpox spots (or shingles) have not fully scabbed over and that you or your child are still contagious, they will issue a letter stating you are "Not fully recovered" and "Not fit-to-fly." This letter can be used for insurance purposes or to reschedule flights with your airline or travel provider.
